Mini sessions with B&B Photography are only shot 2 hours before sunset on very specific days, and only those days. These are perfect for if you want a quick, updated photo session for your family. Mini sessions are offered at a discounted rate and are perfect for busy families or families who only need a shortened photo session. Mini-sessions are 15-20 minutes depending on the the session and are not for every child or family. You know your family best and if your child needs a lot of time to warm up or has stranger danger, we strongly recommend booking a full session which gives us all time to become better acquainted. (This includes certain spouses :)).
If you like to have lots of options and a little more time for photos, we recommend a full session. We have shorter (our Petite Package) 30 minutes as well as longer sessions for a family who likes more time and more photos up to an hour (our Deluxe Package). Our Classic and Deluxe packages come with more time, more images and more poses/games. These sessions can be scheduled for any day in morning between 8-9 or 2 hours before sunset with priority lighting going to families who book a classic or deluxe package.
What to expect from all sessions with BBP.
We do a mixture of posed and lifestyle photos. Generally we start with the smile at camera photos first then play games depending on the ages of the kids. Kids seem to love the games and are always willing to smile for a posed photos between each game.
How to decide between AM vs Golden Hour photos.
While we do highly recommend golden hour photos, we understand that children 3 and under tend to do better in the mornings. (We will shoot at 8am or 9 am but won't shoot past 10am since we do like to have cohesive work). I do have a handful of locations that photograph well in the mornings and will attach two family collages one in the morning and one at golden hour.
