I love Maternity sessions. Love capturing the special bond between a mother and her soon to be baby. There is honestly a glow and it's breathtaking. So when a group of photographers planned a maternity shootout, I was on board. I imagined all of these momma's in my gowns, and in the glorious snow. But then the temperature dropped and dropped. So a small group of us decided to try a fun conservatory shoot instead.
The model, another photographer, looked gorgeous amongst the greenery and small colored flowers. We stayed warm and got even though the conservatory is small had lots of different backdrops to work with.
After we took advantage of all the gorgeous areas inside the warm conservatory, Rachel braved the 7 degree weather and the deep snow in another one of our maternity gowns, both can be found in our boutique closet. And once again, she rocked her shoot even in the frigid cold temperatures. She summoned her inner Elsa and looked amazing set against the snow.
Lots of maternity clients who are pregnant during the winter think they can’t get maternity photos since it’s not nice out, but I’m hoping that this blog helps any one who will be between 26-36 weeks pregnant to see that you can still get lovely maternity photos even though it's cold. This is a great location for families, inside for family photos and outdoors for a few quick photos of mom especially if there is snow on the ground!
