When I first stepped foot inside of the Dole Mansion in Crystal Lake, it was like walking into a dream. My friend and photographer from Truly Sublime Photography had been accepted into the Dole and was looking for a studio partner. I was honored to be asked, and it was a chance of a lifetime. I've had this vision planned in my head for a specific session. I happened upon Pinterest because don't we all. And an image stood out at me, and instantly I knew that I wanted to do an image like that in front of the historic Dole Mansion. We live in Illinois though and my dream of this perfect Halloween session passed me by. Canceled by rain, and busy season. So in January, we couldn't let 10 degree weather change our plans. These girls were troopers, dressed in the cutest vintage dresses which can be found in B&B Photography's Boutique Client Closet. We battled the cold and my dream became a reality. #vintagesession #dreamsession
While we were so close to the mansion, I had to take photos these girls inside of it. Their vintage outfits were just meant to be worn with these gorgeous rooms for their backdrops. My models were definitely happier being inside.

We are sad to announce that we are leaving the Dole Mansion once our lease ends. It was a great adventure but the traveling from Bartlett to Crystal Lake was starting to wear on us. We will be taking sessions in the mansion until the end of March so if anyone is interested in a session (whether vintage, princess, maternity or family) with B&B Photography in the historic mansion, please schedule with us quickly.
